Nicole Bearne is a leading expert in internal communications, organizational culture, and high-performance team development, with over 25 years of experience in championship-winning Formula 1 environments. She is the Founder of The Comms Exchange and former Head of Internal Communications at the Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 team, where she helped build one of the most successful dynasties in the sport’s history.
Throughout her career, she has worked with some of the most prestigious F1 manufacturers and teams, collaborating with key industry figures and world-class drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, and Valtteri Bottas. At Mercedes, she supported the development of a highly engaged, high-performing organizational culture, contributing to remarkable achievements, including nine Constructors’ and eight Drivers’ World Championships.
Her expertise spans internal communications, leadership, employee engagement, organizational culture, and change management in complex, high-pressure environments. Nicole is recognized for her ability to translate Formula 1’s principles of excellence into practical strategies for the business world, helping organizations build aligned, resilient, and performance-driven teams.
Nicole began her Formula 1 career with British American Racing, where she played a key role in establishing and developing the team, working closely with influential motorsport figures. She later contributed to the success of Brawn GP, helping secure the historic 2009 Drivers’ and Constructors’ World Championships.
Today, through The Comms Exchange, she helps companies and leaders build more effective and people-centric organizations. In 2024, she was appointed Independent Non-Executive Director to the board of Motorsport UK, where she chairs the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee. Nicole complements her hands-on experience with a strong academic foundation, holding a master’s degree in Organisational Behaviour.
