Journalist, writer, director Data Lab and School of Journalism at LUISS Guido Carli University School of Government in Rome, and Pirelli visiting professor of Italian Studies at Princeton University, Gianni Riotta is one of the most prominent Italian journalists.
He was a correspondent from New York for various newspapers: La Stampa, l’Espresso and Corriere della Sera of which he was deputy director.
Columnist of La Stampa and Foreign Policy, he has collaborated with New York Times, Washington Post, Le Monde.
In 2006 he was appointed director of TG1 and in 2009 became director of the financial newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore .
Since 2011 he has been teaching at the Master in “Representation of Interests, Politics and Institutions” at the Luiss School of Government. He is currently Visiting Professor at Princeton and the IMT of Lucca, where he does research on New Media and Big Data.
