Maria Latella has a law degree and lives between Rome, Milan and Paris.
She began her career as a journalist in 1980 on the crime and city desk of the Secolo XIX daily in Genoa. For twenty-three years she was one of the leading journalists of the Rizzoli Group, first as a political correspondent for the ‘Corriere della Sera’ then from 2005, as editor-in-chief of the leading weekly magazine “A”.
She was a Fellow Professor at the Institute of Politics of the University of Chicago where she held seminars on European politics, currently she teaches at the Guido Carli University in Rome and is a member of the board of the Center for American Studies and of the Higher Council of the Italian Education.
She has received many professional and academic awards, including an award for best political coverage for her Sky interviews, and is a “Dame of the Italian Republic,” one of the highest honors the state offers.
Maria has written several books, including “The Power of Women”, “Tendenza Veronica”, the first and only biography on Veronica Berlusconi and “Come si conquista un Paese” (How you conquer a Country”, on Berlusconi’s rise to power in Politics.
