This path had already begun in 1986 with Fattoria Scaldasole, a company that in a few years became the first organic company in Italy and the fourth Italian company in the yogurt sector. In a short time, over 60,000 companies, inspired by the success of Scaldasole, began to produce and transform organic products, taking Italy from the bottom to the top for organic production in Europe. He has lived in the province of Como since 1981 in the first passive solar house built in Italy and designed by him, in the past already home to the Fattoria Scaldasole farm and today houses the first solar tracking photovoltaic park in our country.


In 1997 he was awarded by Ernst & Young and the Milan Chamber of Commerce with the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in the “Quality of life” category.
In 2008 the World Economic Forum awarded him the “Social Entrepreneur of the Year” award, which recognizes the best social entrepreneurs chosen from thirty countries.
In 2010 he was named a member of the WorldShift Council on the G20 (WS20).
